Physicians, Dieticians, Sanitary Auxiliaries

To assess the nutritional state of the patient is a great challenge to the physician. The professional impedance measuring device is perfectly adapted to prevention, assistance, and diagnosis of malnutrition, over hydration, dehydration, of the patient or to the follow-up of the patient’s nutrition level under certain conditions.

The BIA also brings apporte new health indicators..

► FIELDS OF APPLICATION

PREVENTION

Carrying out actions, changes in habits or behaviors to prevent the appearance of illnesses and/or keeping and improving the wellbeing of the patient are popular approaches in public health policies.

The objective is the first educational indicator that allows to raise awareness in the patient about their possible imbalances. For the physician is a fast and simple detection tool.

ASSISTANCE FOR THE DIAGNOSIS

For a full-scale analysis, the Biody Manager software covers all the body data with 18 indicators plus associated sub-indicators. This data helps with the diagnosis of pathologies such as malnutrition, sarcopenia, or obesity and the association of combined risks.

FOLLOW-UP

It is essential to have simple tools at your disposal to check the efficacy of the implemented strategies.

This is especially certain and useful when a dietary rebalance is prescribed

The follow-up tools such as the curved-shaped histories or the tendency chart provided, fit the established goals.

They promote the adherence of the patient to their attention and help measuring their therapeutic adherence.

THE BIA BRINGS NEW HEALTH INDICATORS

PHASE ANGLE (PhA)

The phase angle is a cellular health marker. The cell can be compared to that of a battery which is why the phase angle value indicates its capacity to function properly, therefore, it represents the measurement of cellular functionality.

IR (IMPEADNCE RELATIONSHIP)

The IR is a marker of tissue swelling among other things. It is the relationship between the measured impedance at 200 kHz and the measured impedance at 5 kHz.
